Please tell us a little about yourself:

I'm turning 38 years old this coming July.

A husband and father to two daughters.

I love sports, games, music, and buildings.

Been in the industry since 2014, working from the Front of House position all the way to running my own business.

Currently working as a Southeast Asia Specialty Sales Representative for Falcon Coffees (Asia).

Started competing in 2019 (Malaysia Barista Championship).

Initially, I competed to improve my skills and knowledge. As time goes by, now I'm competing not just to go through the learning curve, but also to inspire others and contribute back to the community.

What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?

I've never been to Belgium before, so I would love to try local foods, visit museums, and of course, coffee shop hopping.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

I would say I spend most of my time outside of work with my family, wife and kids. Otherwise, I would spend my time going out with my friends. During alone time, I would either play games or scroll through social media to learn what is happening in the world.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?

First, I would love to thank God for all the opportunities and the journey so far.

Second, my parents, for their effort in making sure I grew up modestly.

Third, my wife for being there with the kids while I'm not around.

Fourth, my coach and the guy behind the whole campaign, Jhon Christhoper from Fugol Coffee Roaster, and the wife, Mandie Soengkono.

Fifth, my assistant, Shaf from Peace RSVP.

Sixth, Falcon Coffees, and my team in the Asia office.

Finally, Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association, and all coffee people in Malaysia who have been supporting me in my journey.
